Make your bread dough in the afternoon and let it prove in the afternoon sun whilst walking or chilling in your hammock.
Bake in the fire before your braai and enjoy it with your dinner or breakfast with jam.

1 packet yeast
500g flour
1 tsp honey or sugar
2 tsp salt
±300ml water

1. Mix all the ingredients except the water in a bowl. Slowly add the water and mix by hand until it becomes a sticky dough.

My name is Nina.
I moved from Johannesburg to Cape Town 7 years ago to study cookery at Silwood and I am the Sous Chef at a restaurant called Salsify. I love Cape Town, the outdoors and camping anywhere that’s cool, easy to find and close by. Cooking and creating new dishes is my passion, but even more so if it’s in or on a campfire. I hope you enjoy the recipes and don’t be scared to try them!
