The Alu-Cab RT-4S is built for travellers who need extra space and comfort without compromising on convenience. Designed as a true 4-sleeper rooftop tent, it’s ideal for families, small groups, or anyone who wants more room up top.

With its clever flip-out bed design, the RT-4S offers over 4.5m² of sleeping space – making it the largest 4-sleeper hardshell rooftop tent on the market. Unlike standard clamshell tents, the RT-4S gives you more headroom, a smarter layout, and side-opening flexibility to suit your vehicle setup (SUV or canopy mounted).

Practical touches like the integrated telescopic ladder (stowing neatly inside when closed) make setup and pack-down simple, while its rugged build ensures comfort and reliability wherever you camp.

The 270° shadow awning sets up in seconds – simply unzip the bag and swing the awning out to cover a full 270°. It’s designed for easy use, so a single person can handle it effortlessly. The awning wraps around your vehicle, creating 10m² of shade to keep the areas that need it most protected from the sun.

Vehicles will require aftermarket roof racks or rails for the rooftop tent to be installed. We sell and fit aftermarket roof racks and rails which are permanently fitted to your vehicle.

Terms & Conditions

Booking Deposit

In order to secure your booking;

50% of the total rental fee is required for orders placed more than 30 days prior to the collection date, after which the balance will be due prior to collection.
100% of the total rental amount is required for all orders placed less than 30 days prior to the collection date.

Cancellation policy

1 – 29 days prior to arrival – 10% of the total rental fee will be refunded
30 + days prior to arrival – 90% of the total rental fee will be refunded
In the event of a Covid-related travel restriction, we are happy to offer our clients one postponement for their booking to a new date.
Cancellation will need to be in writing.

Breakage Deposit & Excess

A breakage deposit is required before collection. This deposit will be refunded within 5 working days after the unit is dropped off and inspected, provided the unit and equipment are in good working order and undamaged. Any repairs or replacements will be deducted from the breakage deposit.

Once you have made your reservation, pull into our fitment centre within the agreed timeframe ahead of your trip where our team will quickly install your rooftop tent. Our admin team will liaise with you regarding your return date and time.
